George Colligan is not only one of the great jazz pianists of his generation, but he has earned an international reputation as a multi-instrumentalist (drums, trumpet, organ, keyboards), composer, accompanist, teacher, and bandleader, as well as popular blogger (jazztruth.blogspot.com).

Fresh from his tour of Ireland the U.K., Jazz pianist/composer and PSU professor George Colligan celebrate’s the release of his 38th album, “You’ll Hear It, ” his debut for the New York based La Reserve label. The album features a mix of top level New York based and Portland based musicians. The young phenom vocalist Zyanna Melada is heavily featured on the album and joins Colligan at the 1905 as a featured guest for the evening. Rounding out the ensemble is Garrett Baxter on bass and the great Chris Brown on the drums. Don’t miss this special event at the 1905!
